Pilot is always on the lookout for exciting new talent. THAT MEANS YOU. Pilot currently provides a $100 honourarium to contributors. Writers: Send
us short stories, personal essays, poems, or excerpts from
longer works. Be advised, however, that the editors have a
strong bias towards story telling.
Please make sure all written work is
submitted as a word document or pasted into the body of an
email. We expect submissions to be double spaced, have numbered
pages, and include the title of the work and the author’s
name on each page.
Illustrators/image makers: We are interested in having you illustrate
the written work that is selected for inclusion in our Pilot
Pocket Books. We are also interested in publishing series of
images. If you are interested in joining our roster of
illustrators send us samples of your work. If you are
interested in publishing a series of images send us images from
the series.
Be advised that our books are 4 1/2 inches
wide by 6 5/8 inches high. We publish images in black and
white. Samples may be submitted at 72 dpi, but we publish at
600 dpi.
