November, 2011-Pilot 8 is available now! The guys who designed the cover, Seth Scriver and Shayne Ehman are raising money to finish their animated film, Asphalt Watches. September, 2010-Pilot 7, the baroque issue, is out and about to hit newsstands.It includes a Mini CD of music by I Furiosi. Only we couldn't fit all five songs onto that tiny disc, so we had to put the song and liner notes for All The Birds that I do Knowe up on this website. Download the files and enjoy the music of I Furiosi and the images of Amanda Nedham. April, 2010-The last day to submit writing for The Pilot Project's Writing Contest is June 15, 2010. Keep the stories coming. They are wonderful! We have also added an interview with ceramic artist Naomi Yasui to our Pilot Interviews page. It is the second of six interviews with artist concerning their "obsolete" work conducted by editor Lee Sheppard. January, 2009-The Pilot Project's Pilot Contest is inspiring some great short short stories. Keep the submissions coming. A regular contributor, illustrator Danny Christopher, has recommended that we dedicate our next issue to the hell pig. Maybe issue 8, Danny. Thanks for the suggestion. It contains images by and an interview with Fiona Smyth; work by artists Louis Alexandre-Beauregard, Michael DeForge, and Nik Dudukovic; and writing by Dipika Mukherjee, Christopher McKinnon and Kathleen Phillips, amongst others. Subscribers, expect it in the mail soon. Everyone else, run out to your local bookseller and pick up a copy for you and everyone you love, or even like just a little.

They are asking for photograph submissions for a little contest. There are five prize packs and five judges. One of the judges is our very own contributing editor, Lee Sheppard. The other guest judges are: Ben Pobjoy of Emporium Gallery in Montreal; Mike Treff of Sound Screen Design; Dan Seligman of Pop Montreal; and Pierre Richardson of Of Uncool. One of the prize packs includes all five of Seripop's images from 2008's Pilot Mail Art Project. You can see all of the images from the Mail Art Project here. Seripop fans, if you haven't already, pick up a copy of Pilot 5, which includes a portfolio of Seripop's work and an feature article about Chloe and Yannick, "Bad Vibes: The Art of Seripop" by Sheppard.
